De Villiers thinks Kohli is the best

AB de Villiers, before going into an injuy-induced exile, played his last Test against England in Januay, 2016. According to the veteran of 106 Tests, team India and their skipper Virat Kohli have transformed colmpletely since then.
The Indian team's failure to win a Test series on the South frican soil makes a 1-1 draw in 2011's Test series their best result.
South Africa will face Zimbabwe in the first ever four-day Test before their series against India.
"I'm very excited that they (India) are going to be touring in South Africa. I have not played against India for a while now, so it's going to be a really good series," de Villiers said reportedly.
"It will be a great challenge. They (India) are a team that's young and determined. They have played a lot better over the last few series we've played here compared to the 90s," he said.

His Indian Premier League teammate—Virat Kohli—whom he described as one of the best captains in the world now, will be leading the Men in Blue.
"I'd say Virat is one of the best captains at the moment, the most improved -- there's a big change from when I first saw him captaining to now," said de Villiers.
"We know all about Virat Kohli, how determined he is as captain; he'll definitely come here trying to win and to make history," he added.
De Villiers had scored three conscutive ducks before his injury exile. His motivation to return to the red ball game is to help his side egain the number one position.
South Africa can grab the top spot of the ICC Test rankings if results go their way in the home series against Zimbabwe, India and Australia.
"Obviously we'd like to be No.1 in the world we are not far away. We know if we win a few series in the next two or three months against very tough opposition we can achieve that. That will be nice to be that No.1 team in the world again and to maintain it for a few years." he said.
De Villiers is not concerned about his lack of multi-day games in the recent past. Since his absence due to injury, Francois du Plessis has been leading the Proteas.
"I think that Faf has all the credentials to make a really successful captain. I believe he has the potential to become the best captain South Africa has seen so far," he opined.
