Melbourne lead the table


Melbourne Renegades faced Brisbane Heat in the 6th match of the Big Bash League yesterday. After an all-Bravo show in the previous match, where the caribbean reached the 400 T20 wickets' landmark, Melbourne won today's game by 7 wickets.
At the Dockland Stadium, the outcome of flipping the coin was in Melobourne's favor. Deciding to bowl first, it did not take long for the Renegades to make an early breakthrough.
Brandon McCullum returned to the pavilion making 5 runs, as Tom Cooper picked up his wicket. Another opener―Jimmy Peirson―made 12 runs before his wicket was picked up by Wildermuth. The same bowler also dismissed Sam Heazlett and Marnus Labuschagne after the batsmen made 11 runs and 20 runs respctively.
Alex Ross had played an innings of 48 runs from 44 balls before DJ Bravo scalped his first wicket of the game. His second came when Jason Lalor departed making 10 runs.

Meanwhile, Brad Hogg bagged the wickets of Ben Cutting and Shadab Khan. Ben played an innings of 18 runs while Shadab was out for a duck.
Losing 8 wickets, Brisbane posted 132 runs on the scoreboard. The total was then chased successfully by Melbourne in 18.4 overs.
Melbourne's openers got out early as Shadab Khan dismissed both of them before they could reach the double-digit.
A partnership of 89 runs from Tom Cooper and Cameron White then took the Renegades closer to their victory. Both of them picked up their half century. White got dismissed by Cutting at 51, Cooper remained unbeaten playing an innings of 52 runs. Brad Hodge also remained not out on the field scoring 9 runs from 4 deliveries.
Wildermuth was declared the Player of the Match for his bowling performance. The fast bowler conceded 16 runs while picking up 3 wickets in 4 overs.
Melbourne are now leading the points table winning both of their two matches. Brisbane Heat are on the 4th position with a win and a defeat.
