The president of the BCCI, Sourav Ganguly has recently commented on the future of Rohit Sharma and Wriddhiman Saha. While Rohit wasn’t included in the squad as he sustained an injury during the Indian Premier League, their key wicket-keeper in Tests, Wriddhiman Saha also sustained a double hamstring injury but Ganguly believes he will be fit before India’s four-match Test series in Australia.
“I think people don’t know how the BCCI works,” Sourav Ganguly said to The Week magazine. “The BCCI trainers, physio and Wriddhi himself know that he has two hamstring issues. Wriddhi is travelling to Australia because he will be fit for tests. He is not part of the shorter formats.”

However, Rohit Sharma successfully led Mumbai Indians to their record fifth IPL title in Dubai recently as well.
“Rohit is still 70 per cent (fit),” Ganguly further added. “That is why he is still not picked for the ODIs and T20s Down Under. He has been added to the test squad.”
The four-match test series of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is all set to begin with a day-night match at Adelaide from Dec. 17 which is also be a pink-ball Test. However, India captain Virat Kohli will miss the last three test matches as his leave has been granted by the board. He is going to be a father soon with his wife Anushka Sharma. Kohli will return home after playing the limited-overs series and the first Test.
