Following the 2020 edition of Indian Premier League, Team India have reached Sydney for the upcoming series against Australia and currently going through the mandatory 14-day quarantine period. 

However, India captain Virat Kohli will return to India after playing the pink-ball Test, which will take place from December 17 to 21 in Adelaide after his parental leave has been granted by the BCCI as he is going to be a father soon of his first child with his wife Anushka Sharma in January, although, Kohli will lead the team in the limited-overs series, which consist of three ODIs and as many T20Is as well.

"I think he is a very powerful guy in world cricket, but I think he does a very good job to walk that fine line in being an aggressive cricketer and also a statesman. I think he's doing it very well," Taylor was quoted as saying by The Sydney Morning Herald.

"I think he treats that responsibility with great respect," the former Australia skipper said. "He's still very much his own person when you watch him play. I've always found him in the times I've spoken to him to be very respectful to the game and those playing it and those who have played it," he further added.

On the other hand, the current Australia head coach Justin Langer has referred to Kohli as "probably the best player" he has seen in his life, not only for his batting but the way he fields and his energy and passion for the game also. Even he has also praised Kohli's decision to be with his wife and leave the series mid-way.
