Kings XI Punjab captain KL Rahul has recently shared that pace bowler Ishan Porel "will soon get a game" in the ongoing 2020 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).
The speedster from West Bengal, who has done exceptionally well in the Ranji Trophy season and helped his team reach the final in 2020 - is yet to play in IPL 2020. Notably, he claimed 11 wickets in his last three Ranji Trophy games, which also included a five-wicket haul against Karnataka in the semi-finals as well.

"Look, he's been very good, he's bowled well in the nets. I've been impressed with how he's been bowling. He's had a great first class season as well so yeah, some exciting guys in the line-up and one of them being Ishan. Sure at some point, he'll get a game," the Kings XI Punjab's website quoted KL Rahul as saying before their match against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Along with him, Chris Gayle too has been warming the bench since the beginning and questions rose about his playing in the league this year as well. Meanwhile, Head coach Anil Kumble revealed that Gayle was about to play against SunRisers Hyderabad, but couldn't due to health reasons.
"Chris Gayle was going to play today's match but he is sick. He is down with food poisoning that's why he isn't in the playing eleven," Kumble said to the commentators during the SRH game which the Kings XI had lost by a whopping 69 runs.
With one win from six games, they are currently placed at the end of the points table.
