Bangladesh Cricket Board officials said on Monday they want to resume individual training by implementing a green and a red zone.

The official also said the green zone among them will be limited for players and support staff along with some members of the BCB think tank.

Earlier, BCB decided to stop individual practice sessions as part of COVID-19 precaution, with some of the support staff showing symptoms and now the board insisted the individual training session will start from September 9.

BCB were initially reluctant to allow cricketers to train but eventually agreed, due to the insistence of a few national cricketers as they were eager to start training to prepare for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.

‘’We are planning to give accreditation cards to the green zones members as it will be limited only to players and support staff,’’ said Debashish adding that they will appoint a few personnel who will be involved in checking whether accredited persons are entering the green zones or not.

‘’The field, dressing room and gym will be part of the green zone that we consider to be a safe zone,’’ he said.

‘’For the time being accredited persons will be allowed to come and go from the green zone but once the team is selected and we start the residential camp and they enter the bio bubble it will be constrained and they will not be allowed to go out of the bubble,’’ he said.
