Sri Lanka Cricket will clear their stance regarding the upcoming tour of Tigers in the next 72 hours, said Bangladesh Cricket Board officials on Sunday. Bangladesh's tour of Sri Lanka comprising three-match Test series got postponed which was earlier scheduled in July-August due to corona pandemic.
The original Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka, comprising three Tests, could now become a combination of Tests and an additional three shorter formats of the games and as a result, SLC needs to clear their stance whether they are ready to host additional T20s or ODIs as there is speculation that SLC is planning to host the three shorter-format games by replacing one Test match.

“The chief executive of Sri Lankan Cricket called me on Saturday night and I talked with him about the tour of Sri Lanka. It will be finalized within one or two days that includes whether we will play only three Test or along with that will also feature in three ODI’s of T20’s,’’ BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury told reporters on Sunday.
“They will clear their stance [as there is a slight change from the tour that was postponed earlier] and afterwards Then everything will be finalized following discussing with us,’’ he further added.
“We will announce the squad after the tour is confirmed and then we will take all necessary measures while we are planning to visit Sri Lanka after September 20,’’ he concluded.
