Sri Lanka to resume its domestic cricket without spectators next week

Sri Lanka Cricket (SCL) on Wednesday announced that they have decided to resume their domestic cricket with inter-Club Twenty20 cricket tournament behind closed doors next Tuesday.
The government of the island nation has already ceased their lockdown and curfews, where the total number of contagion of the coronavirus pandemic has been reported to be 2084 till Wednesday.

Last month SLC has organised two residential training camps for the national team squad in a bid to resume their inter-Club Twenty20 cricket tournament from next week which was postponed due to the pandemic in mid-March.
SLC Chief Executive Ashley de Silva said that the tournament will go on under the supervision and instruction provided by the government’s health ministry.
“The SLC has taken steps to commence these activities under the guidance of the sports and Health Ministries as the country is gradually recovering from the COVID-19 virus,” Ashley de Silva said
