No Bangladeshi in next CPL

No Bangladeshi players were picked for the upcoming edition of Caribbean Premier League as the six franchise team completed formation of their team through a CPL 2020 draft that was held virtually on June recently
The CPL was founded in 2013 and players like Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah had been seen playing in the Twenty20 based tournament for so long.
A total of 18 Bangladeshi players including two surprising names–Nasum Ahmed and Mehedi Hasan Rana found a place in the players' draft for this years CPL.
However due to the COVID-19 situation along with travel and health restrictions, many are not willing to go and play overseas. Then again a number of players were named in this players player draft but no player from Bangladesh got picked up from any franchise team this year.
The tournament has been scheduled to take place from 18 August to 10 September. The draft was carried out remotely and the six franchise teams have successfully filled out their squad with both local Caribbean and overseas players with Rashid Khan, Marcus Stoinis, Ross Taylor, Pravin Tambe and Carlos Brathwaite all being signed up.
Apart from that, the most surprising signing has been made by Trinbago Knight Riders, who have signed former Mumbai and Rajasthan Royals bowler Pravin Tambe who is set be the first Indian player featuring in the CPL also at the age of 48-years-old.
Alongside Tambe, there are a couple of other foreign players who will be seen playing the cracking tournament which will be held in the Caribbean island are Afghanistan's leg-spin all-rounder Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Naveen-ul-Haq, English opener Alex Hales, Harry Gurney
