Former Cricket West Indies [CWI] chief Dave Cameron said that he can make the changes in world cricket with his plans.


Recently the former boss of West Indies Dave Cameron came in front to race for the chairperson post of International Cricket Council, which position has been vacated by India's former boss Shashank Manohar on 1 July.

In the race for the position, there are big names like Colin Graves, England and Wales Cricket Board President. Graves is on the process to step down from his position at Lord's on August 31, to be replaced by Ian Watmore, and reportedly has the support of several leading nations.


But as for Cameron, he thinks if the highest controller of the cricket needs change in the monotonous way of doing things then he should have the possession, because only he has the vision to change this tediousness in world cricket.


"Honestly speaking about the votes, I think we need to understand the process. My own view is that we want to get nominated, once we get nominated then we will start campaigning. Right now it's really about are these boards listening, do they want changes and if we want change then I think I'm the person that can deliver that change," Dave Cameron told this in a live session with Cricfrenzy.com



"Once we get the nomination and we are certain that we are under ballot then we will start talking about countries and numbers and that kind of thing," he added.


Dave Cameron got himself elected as the president of Cricket West Indies [CWI] in March 2013 and ended his tenure in 2019. Under his presidency, West Indies got flourished and won 2012 T20 World Cup and 2016 Twenty20 World Cup as well as the women's World T20 and Under-19 World Cup double.
