The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that the Pakistan cricket team will arrive in England on Sunday to play three Tests and as many T20Is.

After being arrived, Pakistan players will start their preparation at the United Kingdom (UK) following corona protocols though it hasn’t been disclosed on what date the series will take place.

There is also a case of 10 Pakistan players being tested COVID-19 positive and the ECB has said that those players are not welcomed in their territory.

In that list, Mohammad Hafeez’s name has also been included. The veteran player has been tested positive and will be under home-quarantine.

“They (Pakistan team) will start a 14-day isolation period at Blackfinch New Road, Worcester before transferring to Derbyshire’s, The Incora County Ground on July 13 to accelerate their preparation ahead of the first Test, which will include two four-day internal warm-up matches,” the ECB stated in a press release.

“All members of the tour party will have been tested prior to travel. Those who are testing positive for COVID-19 will not be permitted to travel with the advance group on Sunday,” it added.

England are going to face West Indies for their three-match Test series, starting at the Ageas Bowl on July 8.

PCB agreed to the strict testing policy which is that the players who will be tested negative twice can board to England.

However, there might be a change in the plans with 10 out of the 29 players selected for the tour tested positive.

The head of PCB’s medical department Dr Sohail Saleem, has been in contact with medical experts around the world in the hope to get different opinions on this issue.

Dr Sohail has been seeking opinions from several leading medical experts before making a call on whether those players who have tested positive can be sent to England after returning one negative test,” he was quoted as saying in a Pakistani local media.
