Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director and its Cricket Operation Committee Chairman Akram khan has warned that they will not take any kind of risk with its players.
Even they will not arrange the tour in Sri Lanka and send the players to that series in the current situation, said Akram.
Bangladesh are scheduled to play a three-match Test series in Sri Lanka, the Tests which are also a part of the ICC-World Test Championship (WTC).

But earlier due to travel restriction and health concern Bangladesh has postponed their matches against Pakistan, Australia and Ireland.
“We’re trying to understand the situation first for which we are agreed to wait for its improvement because we all know the coronavirus situation in our country is not good,” Akram Khan said.
“The death toll from the corona pandemic is increasing. We’ve no control over the overall situation. In such a situation, we can’t take risks to arrange any tour and send our players to that tour,” Khan told the media.
The former national captain said that cricketers will only be allowed to take an assistant with them if they want to practice in the COVID-19 period.
But he also said they will not encourage them to practice at all in the present situation of the coronavirus endemic.
“Considering the coronavirus situation, we’ve taken this decision. In normal times batsman can take four assistants with them. As of now they can take only one,” Akram, who was famed for his flamboyant batting instinct, said.
“We’re not encouraging anybody to start practice at this time. If anyone comes, they have to practice at their own risk,” he warned.
