West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach is ready to challenge the English batsmen when they play against them in the upcoming UK summer under the biosecurity environment amid the threat of the coronavirus pandemic worldwide.
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) was due to meet via teleconference on Thursday to discuss their plans for the postponed three-match Test series with a view to approving the trip.
“Going to England will bring back some good memories. I love playing in England, very good facilities and wonderful atmosphere,” said Kemar Roach, who grabbed 193 wickets from 56 Tests after being bought into international cricket.

“Even though we won’t be playing in front of the fans this time, it will still be quite good. I had a good series last time,” Roach told the official website Windiescricket.com.
The West Indies quick said that he will travel to England with a hope of picking up his milestone of 200 wickets in Checks. He is only seven wickets away from his 200-wicket milestone.
“My goal is (to reach) 200 wickets when we go to England – that’s the personal goal. The team goal is to win the series,” the right-handed medium fast-bowler said.
“To beat England in England would be something special for us as players and for West Indies cricket,” he also said.
“It’s definitely doable. We beat them last time they were here in the West Indies last year and we have many of the same players who were in that team last year,” he added.
Roach was a key part of his side’s 2-1 success in 2019, with the hosts winning in Barbados and Antigua before England claimed a consolation win in St Lucia.
The 31-year-old pacer has 42 wickets in 10 Tests against England, with an average of 26.59 including career-best figures at Kensington Oval.
