Zimbabwe 228/6 at stumps on day 1 against Bangladesh

Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine scored a brilliant hundred for his team and pushed his team total to 228 runs for six-wicket on Day -1 in the one of test match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
This is Ervine third test hundred and he batted all day long to bring on the milestone and a much-needed one for his country. He smashed 13 boundaries in his innings.
He was out in the penultimate over of the innings in the bowling of Nayeem Hasan for 107 runs.
There was some joy for Bangladesh seamer in the morning session as Abu Jayed Rahi removed Zimbabwe opening batsman Kevin Kasuza for two runs in the morning session.
Bangladesh did not get any wickets after that in the morning session.

A 111 runs partnership between Prince Masvaure and Craig Ervine has given an upper hand.
It was Nayeem who brought the breakthrough when Masvaure gave him a return catch to go back for 64 runs. Coming at no. 4, Brendan Taylor started hastily and was bowled by Nayeem Hasan for 10 runs.
Sikander Raza and Ervine shared a 40 runs partnership for the fourth wicket but Raza was out for 18 runs in the bowling of Nayeem Hasan.
Timycen Maruma scored only 2 runs and was out in the bowling of Abu Jayed.
Regis Chakabva was not out on 9 runs and Donald Tiripano was not out on 0 runs.
Nayeem Hasan was the star bowler for Bangladesh. He bowled 36 overs in the day and picked up 4 wickets by giving away 68 runs. Abu Jayed Rahi picked up 2 wickets for Bangladesh.
Zimbabwe captain earlier won the toss and elected to bat.
