After three back to back innings defeats in Pakistan and in india Bangladesh Cricket Board chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said they have started thinking afresh about the Bangladesh Test team.

Nannu also said they will sit for discussion in Mirpur to talk about their ensuing home series against Zimbabwe.

“We will sit for discussion tomorrow (Thursday),” said Minhajul Abedin Nannu.

“And there we will talk about our upcoming home series against Zimbabwe. How we will form the team and how will be the gameplan for the series against the east African nation because the last home series did not go well for us,” Nannu told the media at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur .

Giving a clear indication, Nannu said there will come some changes in their Test team from where one more senior player might be dropped from the squad. The chief selector did not mention any player’s name directly but he has a sign of bother in his tone. But it is understood in his bother that Mahmudullah Riyad is in the center of all discussion.

However, the national team players could not get much break after reaching Dhaka on Wednesday. As per the information of the chief selector, they will launch a five-day training camp from February 17 because the lone Test against Zimbabwe will start at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on February 22.

“Such a performance in Test cricket is obviously a cause of concern because we have not played Test cricket on overseas conditions for so long. It’s imperative for us to have a mindset of playing a five-day game with red-ball,” Minhajul said with regret.

“It’s a big matter how you will handle red-ball cricket, how you will formulate your gameplan and how you move forward. It’s really tough if you don’t have the mindset to play a five-day game. We’re playing well at home but we could not apply it on foreign conditions in longer version cricket. It's a matter of concern,” he added.
.
He said they will define their necessary works to sit with the team management after their arrival from Pakistan. But the chief selector is reluctant to accept the responsibility of the board behind the lackluster performance in Test cricket.

“Performance will depend on players fully. They are being given the facilities from the board what are needed for them. They have no dearth of playing matches in longer version,” he said.
