Pakistan coach-cum-selector Misbah ul Haque said on Saturday that they are not taking Bangladesh as granted in the upcoming two-match Test series despite humbling the tourist in the just concluded three-match Twenty20 internationals.
Bangladesh lost the three-match T20 series by 2-0 margin and can claim to be lucky to avoid further humiliation considering the way host clinched the series in a dominating manner through a nine-wicket win.
Bangladesh completed their first tour to Pakistan in 12 years through taking part in the three-match T20 series.
The series was finalised after quite a lot of haggling over security concerns, having last played a five-match one-day series and an Asia Cup - both in 2008. After completing the first phase of T20Is, Bangladesh returned home and will now travel to to Pakistan to play the first of two Tests in Rawalpindi, starting on February 7.

In their final installment of the tour to the country, Bangladesh will play the lone ODI on April 3 and the second and final Test, starting on April 5 in Karachi
‘’Nothing is certain in cricket and there is no guarantee that a perform badly because they have played badly in the recent past in another format and you have to be ready for everything and you must think that they will fight hard against us and so you will have to play your best cricket instead of thinking that they are weak and we will win easily,’’ Misbah told reporters after announcing the squad for the opening Test against Bangladesh.
‘’This type of team does not have anything to lose and they play with less pressure and on the other hand certainly we will feel more pressure so we have no chance to relax,’’ he said.
‘’If we want to do well in ICC Test Championship than we have to try and win every game especially at home soil,’’ he said adding that they are now focused to develop the strength of their pace unit in the longer version cricket.
‘’It is better if we think about us rather than our opposition and now we are looking how we played against Sri Lanka in the last series but we have nothing more to fear,’’ he said.
‘’We have to focus on developing our fast bowling and if we can develop it then our result will come by itself,’’ he said
