Pakistan captain Babar Azam said on Friday that they needed to win this match badly in order to have some confidence in the team and moving forward for the world cup.
Pakistan is not having the best of time in the shorter format of the game although they are ranked number one team in world T-20 cricket.
Pakistan won just one match and lost a staggering number of eight matches in their last 10 encounters. One match of Pakistan against Sri Lanka was washed out due to rain.
Pakistan won the first match against Bangladesh by five wickets thanks to a brilliant half-century by Shoaib Malik.
Pakistan captain Barbar Azam was full of praise of the bowler performance in the post-match press conference
‘’We needed this win badly. The bowlers were good for us, both at the start and during the death overs. They executed the plans well’’ Babar Azam told reporters after the opening game of the series.
‘’ Did not think the pitch would slow down, but the bowlers planned well. Shoaib was excellent, so was Ahsan. Need for some improvement with our batting in the powerplay overs though'' he said.
