We included ODI's to help PCB recover some revenues- Nazmul

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan on Wednesday said that they have agreed to play an ODI’s in their upcoming tour of Pakistan in order help PCB earn some revenues as the host will face loss while accommodating them for three occasions inside four months.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board and Pakistan Cricket Board, on Tuesday (January 14), were able to reach a consensus to ensure Bangladesh's upcoming tour of Pakistan would go ahead as planned. They will play two Tests, three T20Is and one ODI.
Bangladesh were originally scheduled to play three Twenty20 internationals and two Test but the future of the series looked to going nowhere after the tourist refused to stay there for period of time that is required to complete the tour on one go as the government is reluctant to provide security clearance for a prolonged period due to the prevailing unrest in the Middle-East.
However, after Shashank Manohar, ICC's Chairman, acted as the facilitator between the two boards it was agreed upon that the tour will take place but PCB will have to host them on three occasions as the tourist are only ready for a short stay.
‘I was supposed to go and meet ICC chairman Shashank Manohar as I had given him word and was supposed to meet him. PCB officials were already there when I arrived and they [PCB officials] told us that they want to sit with us 2.30 pm,’’ Nazmul told reporters at the airport after arriving from Dubai on Wedenesday.
‘’Firstly PCB told us that to play three -T20 and one test but I said no and said that we will play only three T-20 and we will go later,’’ he said
Pakistan is facing a huge financial loss [for hosting us on three occasions] and the offered us to play one T20 [ahead of Test] as that will give them some revenue. Their cost has increased a lot as we are going three-time and in this little time they cannot do marketing,’’ he said.
‘’We needed practice match and we felt that if we played ODI than we can practice more [and they can generate some revenues],’’ he said.
Nazmul added that he is not too sure why their decision of visiting Pakistan on three occasions inside four months is criticized as they have acted as per the desire of the government.
‘’The Government told us for short stay and what we were saying it is exactly written there [in the MOU]. We will play the Test matches after considering the situation and we are still maintaining it[ as far as the tour is concerned],’’ said Nazmul.
