Batting first was shocking- Nazmul

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan said that he was shocked by the decision of batting first in the historic pink ball Test at Eden Gardens.


Bangladesh were bundled out for 106 runs in the first innings in the series concluding second Test match at Kolkata.


 ‘’ I was very surprised at the team batting first decision talked with the captains and management day before the match and they said they want to bowl first,’’ said Nazmul.

‘’I was shocked after their decision to bat first after winning the toss do not know if they were overconfident .i talked with the Indian counterparts and they said they would bowl first if they win the toss,’’ he said.


‘’The wicket was fresh and the Indians would not bat first before knowing the behavior of the pink ball’’ said Papon


 HE was also very disappointed with the performance of the senior plalyers of the team


‘’Our senior players did not perform to our expectations and they did not bat well in the first innings and also in the second innings .our four senior player Mushfiqur, Monimul Imrul and Mahmuddullah could not perform very well,’’ he said.



‘’Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah played well today but Mahmudullah got injured badly today. If he is fit he will bat tomorrow’’ concluded Nazmul.
