Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo said on Friday that he have got no issues with Mushfiqur Rahim batting at number five in the ongoing Test series against India.
Mushfiqur opted not to keep wickets in the ongoing Test series in order to give more time to his batting.
According to many Mushfiqur should have batted at four in order to give him more time in the middle but his decision not to come up raised the question why he had to leave if that was the case, who failed to open his account at Eden.

Bangladesh kicked-off their maiden day-night Test in worst possible fashion as they came up with a wretched batting performance yet again to be skittled out for 106 in its first innings against India at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday.
Domingo added that he have no issues with Mushfiqur Rahim batting at five despite the wicket-keeper batsman opted not to keep in the Test series just to concentrate on his batting as he feels that in that way they can give some opportunities to youngster.
“Mushy is happy batting at number five. We have a bit of experience in the middle-order. We also have to provide opportunities to the younger players. Guy like Mithun potentially has a good future. He is playing only his sixth Test, and we think he has a good technique, and that’s why we decided to go with him at No 4,’’ said Domingo who said that they were quite unlucky that Liton Kumar Das and Nayeem Hasan were replaced with concussion substitutes after blows to helmet.
“It is a very unusual situation. Liton was showing potential at No 7. We decided to play Nayeem today as he gets more bounce than Taijul and Mehidy. Unfortunately it didn’t work for them. There’s not much we can do in the second innings. The top-order has to get the runs, as simple as that,’’ said Domingo adding that now their top-order must take responsibility.
‘’When you have a vulnerable lower order, I think it is important that the top-order puts some good runs, which they are not doing at the moment,’’ he concluded.
