Bangladesh thrashes Hong Kong in emerging cup

Bangladesh made a flying start to their emerging cup campaign beating Hong Kong by nine wickets in the opening match of the emerging Asia cup at BKSP cricket ground.


Skipper Nazmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and sent Hong kong to bat first.

Bangladesh made a flying start in chasing a moderate total of 165 runs. Naim sheikh starts off where he left off at India. He scored 50 runs. Soumya Sarkar is the highest scorer for the side with 84 not out off 74 delivers and finished the innings.  Nazmul Hossain shanto was the other not out batsman.


Soumya struck nine fours and three sixes in his match-winning knock.


Hong Kong’s Ehsan took the only wicket



Bangladesh bowlers bowled in the right channel in the morning with some help from the pitch dismissing Hong Kong to only 164 runs. For Hong Kong Haroon Arshad scored 35 runs and Aiyaz Khan scored 25 runs. Sumon khan was pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh bowling, taking 4-33.
