India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first, meaning Bangladesh would have to set a good total to win the second T20 at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Thursday.

Eying to clinch the series by taking an unassailable lead in three-match series, Bangladesh fielded the same squad that won the first game by seven wickets, which was their first victory against India in this format.

India who never lost three-match T20 series at home soil in their history aims to bounce back in the series but didn’t bring up any changes despite losing the first game.

"Rajkot's always been a good track despite some cracks. I think there may be dew later, so life will be easier for the batsmen. Aware of our poor chasing record, but that's not why. We just want to do something different from the last game,” India captain Rohit Sharma who is playing his 100th T20 International said.

“Priority is always to win the game first. The set of boys we have are new and I want to make them comfortable.”

Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad didn’t give the loss at toss a thought and said he also would choose to bowl if he wins the toss.

"Wicket looks good. We didn't think much about the toss. Need to put a good total now. We would've bowled first too, but it will still be a good wicket. Good opportunity for Bangladesh cricket to win the series but we need to put those thoughts aside right now. Need to focus on this game. Our youngsters have good potential and will continue,” he said.
