Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah believes they have their best chance to clinch their maiden Twenty20 series against India as they prepare to take on the host in the series-deciding second game at Rajkot tomorrow.

Bangladesh is leading in the three-match series by earning their maiden T20 win after handing them a seven-wicket defeat at Delhi and a similar outcome can be an icing on the cake for the host.

‘’Obviously, I think, it is a great-great opportunity especially when you have already won the first game in the series, so it’s a great opportunity and I think boys are feeling energetic about it and hopefully we can put up a good show tomorrow,’’ he said.

‘’Since we won the first match, it will give us an extra confidence for all of us. We are not sitting idle and we are all desperately waiting for tomorrow’s match. Everybody is working hard and giving their best effort in practice. We are all trying so that we can give our collective team effort to get the expected result tomorrow,’’ he said.

Mahmudullah said that they have broken the mental jinx against their opponent by earning their first win against them in the series opener considering they failed to do despite coming close on the previous occasions that includes their heartbreak in the Nidhas final and in the ICC World Cup match at Bangalore in 2016.

‘’The mental barrier you speak of, we might be able to come out of that even if a little bit. I think in T20 cricket, this sort of chance comes often and it depends on how we keep calm and execute our skills t try and win the game,’’ said Mahmudullah adding that it will be huge boost for the team considering their recent developments pointing his fingers towards to their unprecedented strike followed by the ICC’s two-year ban on Shakib al Hasan for failing to report corrupt approaches  

‘’If you concentrate on the recent (developments), whatever is going on in Bangladesh cricket, a series win will be a big boost for Bangladesh cricket and also a big boost for Bangladesh cricket team,’’ said Mahmudullah
