Bangladesh pace bowler Al Amin Hossain said that he was confident that he would make a return to the national set-up anytime soon and was working towards his bowling and fitness
Al Amin Hossain returned to the national team after a gap of 43 months as Bangladesh Cricket Board the included him in the 15-member squad for the three-match Twenty 20 series against India, scheduled at their own den from November 3.
The return of Al Amin was nothing short of surprise as he was not part of any set-up that suggested that he was in the selection radar.
However, according to Al Amin it was not surprising at all to him as he was preparing to make a return to the national team after being assured by the national selectors to keep on doing the right thing.

‘’Six to seven months ago I was practicing in the academy and [selector]Habibul Bashar Bhai told me that I was the most experience bowler in Twenty20 and I should work on my fitness and on my fielding,’’ Al Amin told reporters after being included in the national team.
‘’He also asked me to always work on bowling because any time I can get the opportunity and when I get the opportunity I should capitalize it,’’ he said.
‘’I believed in his words that I may get a chance to play in the national team and so I think I never thought I was out of the radar of the national selectors,’’ he said.
According to BCB chief selector Minhazul Abedin, the team think-tank rung in the changes with an emphasis on experience and fitness in mind.
“T20 is a format where we have to experiment. That’s why there were so many changes. Since India is a tough series, we preferred some experienced players and that is why we picked Al-Amin into the lineup,” Minhazul told The Daily Star yesterday.
“We have brought Al-Amin back after a long time as we are struggling with injuries and fitness of the pace bowlers. Al-Amin’s has shown good fitness. He bowled well in the NCL and in the last BPL. He also performed well in the T20 World Cup in India. We wanted to give him another opportunity and see what he can do,’’ he said.
"Al Amin was picked as we have seen there is some grass on the Indian wickets. In the recent past he had improved his fitness to quite an extent and he is one of the few bowlers who can bowl with the seam up and we have seen that pacers who are bowling with the seam up are quite successful in India,’’ he concluded
