Young Tigers clinch series 4-1 against New Zealand U-19

Pacer Shoriful Islam claimed 5-43 after opener Tanzid Hasan struck 71 off 59 balls as Bangladesh Under-19 team beat their New Zealand counterparts by 73 runs in the fifth and final youth one-day international match to win the series 4-1 at LincoIn on Sunday.
Tanzid continued his impressive form with bat as he struck his fourth successive fifty in the series while Parvez Hossain, Shahadat Hossain and Avishek Das made identical score of 48 runs that helped Bangladesh score 316-8 in their stipulated overs.
In reply, New Zealand Under-19 team were bowled out for 243 runs in 43.4 overs after Shoriful provided a career-best bowling performance while left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan claimed 2-55.

Opting to bat first, Tanzid and Pervez gave Bangladesh a flying start, putting up 120 runs in the opening stand within 16 overs before Tanzid was dismissed after hitting 11 fours and two sixes.
Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Bangladeshi batsmen were able to keep the scoreboard ticking and went pass 300-run mark for the first time in the series.
Shahadat made 48 off 69 balls while Avishek hit the same runs off just 36 balls, helping Bangladesh team to post a strong total against the host team.
New Zealand lost their opener Ollie White for naught in the first ball of their chase before Shoriful took his second wicket by dismissing Ben Pomare for 18 in the seventh over.
Number three Fergus Lellman struck highest 56 runs while Jock McKenzie and Jesse Tashkoff made 47 and 39 runs respectively but New Zealand lost wicket wickets at regular intervals were bowled out before reaching 250-run mark.
Bangladesh Under-19 team earlier won the first three matches of the series to confirm their series win before lost the fourth match by four wickets at the same venue
