Shakib Al Hasan failed to shine in both batting and bowling which cost Barbados Tridents dearly as they lost the Qualifer-1 game to Guyana Amazon Warriors by 30 runs at Providence on Sunday.
If they could win the match, they would have sealed the CPL final in first chance. But they will get another chance to secure the final as they take on Trinbago Knight Riders on October 10.

Trinbago beat St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by six wickets in the Eliminator game.
However by virtue of the victory against Shakib’s Barbados, Guyana sealed the final of CPL, which is on October 12.
Shakib who gave the side a regular breakthrough with the new ball in the tournament, this time fared badly as he conceded 46 runs in four overs, including a 30-run over. But he failed to grab any wicket.
Guyana, thanks to 72 ball-132 Brandon King put up a massive 218-3 in 20 overs after which Shakib’s Barbados was restricted to 188-8 with Jonathon Carter making highest 49. Shakib contributed just 5 runs.
