Bangladesh new leg spin prodigy Aminul Islam said on Thursday that he was encouraged by the seniors that helped him to hold on to his nerves on his Twenty20 debut against Zimbabwe in the ongoing tri-nation at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

The young lanky leg spinner picked two wickets to announce his arrival but it was not before he sustained an injury on his left hand that had virtually ruled him out for their match against Afghanistan. Team management believes he will be ready for the final despite the injury that he sustained while trying to stop the shot of Hamilton Masakadza and eventually ending up with three stitches on the hand.'' It is a dream for every player to play international cricket and I am feeling very proud as I could play with my childhood heroes,’’ Aminul told reporters at the team hotel wearing a bandage on his left hand.
‘’When I went to bowl I was a little bit nervous but Shakib Bhai told me to bowl the way I normally do and later Riyad[ Mahmudullah] bhai and Mushfiqur bhai also supported me and told me to bowl in the right place,’’ he said.Sakib bhai and Riyad bhai told me the only one thing that as a leg spinner if I could bowl in the right place than something good will happen and I took that into that into my head. I tried to bowl in the right place and beat the batsman,’’ he said and later cleared about his injury.
‘
‘’Maskakadza hit a bowl straight that I wanted to save that and it hit me on my hand but there was no chance of return catch.I just tried to field normally,’’ he said.
‘’There was three stitches in my hand but I am feeling better now and the pain in much lesser. I will follow the physio instruction,’’ he said.
