Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan indicated that he will be put away his friendship with Shakib al Hasan once the lone Test between Bangladesh and Afghanistan starts on Thursday.
Both Shakib and Rashid are still quite good friends considering the part of Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad while both of them were key in Sunrisers title victory in 2016.
But according to Rashid their friendship that grows during their IPL stint won’t be in place when the duo leads their country for one-off Test here in Chattogram on Thursday.

“It will be a great fun. We played together in the IPL for Sunrisers. We had the best two years there. We enjoy a lot. We enjoyed inside and outside the field. We are really good friends,” Rashid Khan said here on Wednesday.
“Right now it’s about your country and you always give your hundred per cent while playing for your country. You always try to give your best when you play for your country. It will be exciting for both of us to be the captains of the teams and leading them and try to give our best for the country. It will be quite exciting and enjoyable moment for me. We will try to keep enjoying every moment.”
Rashid said Shakib’s wicket will be key as they are looking to get him out as early as possible.
“Exactly he has the best World Cup I have ever seen who is having in a World Cup or like that. Being a good bowler in that, and also performing with bat as well he had the best contribution. Again it’s a different condition and different format. And he had some gap as well. Hopefully he doesn’t remember all the thing that he has done in the World Cup. We will try to get him out as early as possible,” he concluded.
Earlier, Rashid Khan and Shakib Al Hasan hugged each other when they met on Tuesday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and it was a clear indication of their friendship.
