Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan said on Wednesday that he is excited to lead the Test side in his opening games in charge as they prepare to take on Bangladesh in the one-off Test series in Chittagong on September 5.
Afghanistan Cricket Board recently named Rashid as the captain of all formats while Asghar Afghan, who was sacked as captain ahead of the World Cup, will be Rashid's deputy.

The youngest Test skipper added that he is not putting any extra pressure on them.
‘’It’s quite good to be leading the team at such young age I think. It’s a big opportunity for me to learn something in a very young age. It’s always a great pleasure to be in the team,’’ said Rashid.
‘’Forget about being the captain. Representing your team in Test matches is always huge proud and pleasure for me. But for me leading the team is something very special and exciting for me of being captain of the team. Insallah, I will try my best to do well and will give my hundred per cent here,’’ he said.
‘’Everyone is so mature and it’s not something like they are playing first time for the national team. They have played a lot. It’s not taking too much time for me to make them relax and calm. They all are enough experienced and played enough cricket,’’ he said.
‘’The only thing I said to them is to keep enjoy the game what you do bowling, batting and fielding. I think the more you enjoy, the better you can perform. So this game is all about like keep yourself freshen. And that’s what I always tell them. I have the senior players like Nabi, Asgha and they always help me and I am learning for it. It’s a learning time for me and it won’t be something like I put extra pressure on me as I am a captain and I have to do this or that,’’ he said.
