Sarfaraz's captaincy has been heavily criticized in the World Cup. Fans were really upset about the way Pakistan lost to India and in the World Cup and questioned the ability of Sarfaraz to captain Pakistan.
According to New Indian Express Arthur also demanded two more years from the board to deliver remarkable results.
"I need two more years with the Pakistan team and then I can deliver remarkable results," Arthur is believed to have told the Committee as per the Sources.
Arthur has been working as head coach with the Pakistan team since mid-2016. Under him, Pakistan's biggest gain was winning the ICC Champions Trophy two years back. After a poor performance in the World Cup, in which Pakistan finished fifth in a 10 team World Cup.
