Young Tigers consolidates top position beating England in UK tri-nation

Opener Tanzid Hasan smashed 113 ball-117 as Bangladesh U-19 consigned England U-19 to a massive 122-run defeat in the tri-nation series in England to consolidate their top position in the point table.
This was Young Tigers third victory against England in a row.
Young Tigers have beaten England three times in this series. By virtue of this victory, Bangladesh youngsters collected nine points from six games. India is in second spot with five points from five games while England has just two points in five matches, which almost confirmed their elimination from the race of the final.

Tanzid’s ton however set the tune for the victory while with the ball Rakibul Hasan and Tanzim Hasan Sakib came up all guns blazing to restrict England to only 152 runs.
England u-19 won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat first. Bangladesh lost Parvez Hossain Emon at 18 runs. After that,Tanzid Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan Joy put up a partnership of 118 runs. Tanzid scored a glorious hundred and Joy scored 41 runs. Tanzid and Towhid Hridoy scored a good partnership of 78 runs, Hridoy scored 31 runs, The partnership broke with the departure of Tanzid at 204 runs. After that, Bangladesh's innings collapse in an unusal fashion. Bangladesh lost rest of the seven wickets in just 20 runs as Bangladesh's innings finishes at 224. English bowler NJH Kimber was the pick of the bowlers, he picked up five wickets for 38 runs.
Chasing a mediocre total, England lost wickets at regular interval. They lost five wickets in just 51 runs. And from there, they never looked like chasing the total. JA Haynes was the highest scorer for England as he scored 40. FJ Bean made 30 runs for them. Rakibul Hasan was the pick of the bowler for Bangladesh with three wickets for 19 runs in eight overs. Tanzid was awarded the man of the match award for his magnificent century.
