Gayle to play against India in the ODI's

West Indies cricket board included Chris Gayle for the three-match ODI series against India, granting his plea.
Gayle declared to retire from the international cricket back in February this year but at the back end of the World Cup, he said, that he wants to play the Test and ODI matches against India.
“Maybe, I will play one Test match against India. And of course, I will participate in the ODI series. I won't play in T20. This is my plan after the World Cup,” said Gayle in Manchester ahead of India game on June 27.
West Indies cricket board granted the wish of their legendary player and it also gives Gayle a chance to be the highest ever run-getter in the ODI history for the West Indies. Currently, Brian Lara holds the spot, he has 10,405 runs in the ODI cricket. Gayle is currently just 12 runs short of this milestone, this series gives him an opportunity to make this record his own.
Opening batsman John Campbell and allrounders Roston Chase and Keemo Paul, meanwhile, have returned to the 14-member ODI squad. From the squad that was at the World Cup, the selectors have left out batsmen Sunil Ambris and Darren Bravo, offspinner Ashley Nurse, and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel. Andre Russell also missed out in this ODI series, he is only selected for the T20 series against India.
The ODI series between West Indies and India will begin from 8 August at Guaya. And the next two matches are on 11 and 14 August.
