England's batting was an embarrassment: Vaughn

Former England captain Micheal Vaughn said England's first-innings batting against Ireland was an embarrassment in which England collapsed sensationally to be all for 85 runs.
"Let's be honest, it's an embarrassment - you're at the home of cricket, in a Test against Ireland and you're all out for 85, there is no other word to describe it," Vaughn said.
Vaughn pointed out England always struggle at the moving balls. He believes, there were some good balls and England also played some bad shots to lose the wickets.

"When the ball does anything you shut your eyes and hope England get through it. There were some good balls but there was also some timid play and poor strokes," Vaughn added.
England have now lost all 10 wickets in a single session four times since 2016. Vaughn said this performance of England against Ireland is the lowest of all those previous performances.
"All out for 85 against Ireland is probably the lowest of the low out of those," concluded Vaughan.
Ireland has taken a lead of 122 in the first innings and England will have to bat really well in a moving pitch to get out of this mess.
England is playing Ireland at Lords in a one-off Test to prepare for the upcoming Ashes-- set to start from August 1. England lost their last Ashes series against Australia 4-0. This abysmal performance against Ireland is not a very good sign for the currently crowned ODI World Cup champions.
