Bangladesh Under-19 team got off to a flying start in the Youth Tri-nation U19s tournament in England, having crushed the hosts England by six wickets in their opening game at Worcestershire on Monday.
Towhid Hridoy led the side from the front, hitting an unbeaten 70 off 86 as the Bangladeshi youths cantered to the victory, making 204-4 after the hosts were restricted to 200-7 in 50 overs.
Hridoy was aptly aided by Shahadat Hossain who blasted 60 ball-57 with eight four. Hridoy and Shahadat in fact took the side in winning position by sharing a 114-run for the fourth wicket after Bangladesh were in tricky 72-3.

Medium pacer Kasey Eldrige snapped up 2-30 for English side.
Earlier, Tanzim Hasan Sakib helped the side take a control over England Under-19. The right arm pacer claimed 4-49 to dismantle England batting after they chose to bat first.
Lewis Goldsworthy was the highest scorer for English side with 69 runs while Kasey Eldrige contributed with batting too. Coming at No. 8 position Eldrige made a useful 58 which enabled his side to post at least 200, after it looked unlikely at one phase when they were six down before crossing 100 runs mark.
Goldsworthy and Eldrige shared 111-run for the seven wicket to prevent the side from being red-faced.
But it was not enough at the end as the spirited Bangladesh youth showed more hunger to win the game.
This was however England’s consecutive second loss in the tournament, having been beaten by India in the first match.
