Mominul Haque scored a magnificent unbeaten century to help visitors Bangladesh Cricket Board XI to a good start after the first day of the first four-day game in the Dr (Captain) K Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament, posting 302 for two against Vidarbha Cricket Association in Bengaluru yesterday.

Mominul remained unbeaten on 157 off 217 balls, his innings featuring 20 fours and a six as the left-hander will resume the second day with his partner Najmul Hossain batting on 24.
After being sent in to bat, Bangladesh lost the wicket of opener Saif Hasan for 19 before Jahurul Islam and Mominul steadied the ship. The pair added 177 runs before Jahurul was run-out for 96 off 202 balls. But Mominul went on to register his 20th first-class hundred.
