Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team is scheduled to fly to the United Kingdom (UK) for the tri-nation series on July 15.

The series will begin on July 22 with the involvement of the hosts England, India and Bangladesh.

The young Tigers will play a warm-up match against England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) young Lions Invitational XI on July 18 before starting their tri-nation campaign in London.

Bangladesh youth will face off the hosts England Lions on July 22. They will then take on Indian youth on July 24, just a day after the opening clash.

By then, the young Tigers will play back-to-back matches against their counterparts of India and England on July 27 and 28 respectively.

Since then, the visiting Tigers will once again compete against India before their last clash on August 7.

In the meantime, the young Tigers will play two consecutive matches against the home side on August 1 and 5 correspondingly.

Currently, Bangladesh youth are practicing intensely under the guidance of the head coach Nawaz who is keenly waiting to see how his charges fare in unfamiliar condition.

‘’We have been preparing for last four weeks. We had a camp in Khulna and came to Dhaka and had one week in Dhaka as well. So I think we are prepared. We are looking forward to five days before the tournament starts. We will have preparations there after practice match. We have picked a very balance team. Hopefully we will perform there,’’ said Nawaz on Wednesday.

‘’Player will be familiarized in English condition. Nobody in squad played longer format in England. It’s everybody’s first time. We have done as much as possible to beat England in Dhaka,’’ he said.

‘’Definitely condition is going to be a big challenge. But see, we have young squad. They are excited to do well in England. I hope we will do well,’’ he added.

Nawaz said that he does not believe that they did not had enough match practice ahead of the tri-nation.

‘’I would not say match practice is an issue as they have been playing lots of matches. We have organized lots of matches for them to play. But playing matches in different condition I would say. So we used to play in Bangladesh. If any team come to Bangladesh it will be very hard to beat them because this unit is a very hard unit.  But the challenge will be in England but we have plans and have to work with plans,’’ said Nawaz.

‘’I have confidence in the bowlers. The bowlers have been performing well in the past but it will be challenge. I will have to give them some passion according to the condition,’’ he said.
