Former Sri Lanka legendary wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara believes that Indian captain Virat Kohli is well above everyone in terms of breaking his record of four centuries in a row in the World cup.
“Quite a few of them but Virat Kohli stands head and shoulders above the rest,” said Sangakkara in an interview.
In 2015 World Cup Sangakkara did the unthinkable by becoming the first batsman to score four consecutive hundreds in the World cup. Mark Waugh, Matthew Hayden, and Sourav Ganguly have scored three hundreds each in the World Cup but none of them scored those in consecutive matches.

Indian captain Virat Kohli is the holder of some impressive record of his own also. He is the fastest batsman to score 20,000 runs in international cricket and he is also the fastest batsman to score 10,000 ODI runs.
Kohli has also scored three consecutive hundreds against two different opponents [ Sri Lanka & West Indies ].
At the age of 30, Kohli already scored 41 hundreds in ODI cricket. And he has scored 11,159 runs in 232 ODI matches with a scintillating average of 59.67
