West Indian Chris Gayle decided to postpone his retirement as he is eyeing to play Test match against India.
Ahead of the World Cup in February, Gayle stated that, he will retire from ODI cricket after the World Cup.

“I will end my ODI career in this World Cup. It would be great for the young cricketers and I will observe their progress from behind,” said Gayle in February, 2019.
But it seems like Gayle wants to enjoy international cricket a bit longer. After just four months later Gayle expressed his desire to play at least one test against India and he has also decided to play the Whole ODI series against India. But he has no plan to play in the T20 series.
“ Maybe, I will play one Test match against India. And of course, I will participate in the ODI series. I won't play in T20. This is my plan after the World Cup,” said Gayle in Manchester ahead of India game on June 27.
Gayle also discussed his plan regarding the remaining three matches of the West Indies in this World cup. He wants to score a century in these three matches but if he cant, there won’t be any regret, stated Gayle.
“In these three matches, I will try to score at least one century. If that doesn’t come, it won’t be anything that I would regret. I have achieved enough,” said Gayle.
