Hales is going to replace fellow Englishman Ian Bell, who played one fixture for Islamabad in the PSL after being hampered by a foot injury. The English batsman will bolster the top-order of Islamabad United when he rejoins the franchise ahead of their upcoming eliminator against Karachi Kings on Thursday.

Islamabad United franchise owner Ali Naqvi confirmed Hales participation, “Alex Hales is one of the leading T20 batsmen in the world and I am glad that he will play for Islamabad United in front of Pakistani fans. I am confident that he will add great energy to Islamabad United as we look to win the play-off stage games.”
On the other hand, Jordan was part of the Peshawar squad at the start of the season in Dubai. But he did not play any game before heading for the Caribbean T20 series. Peshawar will face Quetta Gladiators in the qualifier playoff on Wednesday.
“I am delighted to be back with Islamabad United for this year’s PSL and I can’t wait to play in front of our passionate fans. I look forward to joining the squad and I hope that I can help the team lift the trophy once again,” Hales said.
“We have seen exciting cricket at the HBL PSL this year and Islamabad United has put in some excellent performances. I look forward to joining the squad and I hope that I can help the team lift the trophy once again,” he added.
