West Windies spin bowling consultant Mushtaq Ahmed believed that the visitors will be able to put up better performance in the upcoming T20’s as the format suits their brand of cricket.
Windies will be eyeing to revive their fortune in the upcoming three-match T20’s as the host cleanly swept them away in the two-match Test series while beat the clinched the three-match ODI’s by 2-1 margin.

‘’Sure [shorter format suits Windies better]because this is the brand of cricket West Indies play. They are a good t20 team, but they are developing in 50 overs also; they’re developing in Test cricket,’’ Mustaq Ahmed told reporters ahead of the T20 series beginning at Sylhet from December17.
‘’I think Evin Lewis is back. Pooran is playing very good cricket. There are other guys, as I said there are young people, new blood. But they just need to understand the matter of playing longer and how to win games,’’ he said.
‘’I fully believe that those guys are good cricketers, they are the best people, they are lovely to work with. I think they are going to play lots of good cricket,’’ he said.
Mushtaq said they are looking forward to develop the team in the other formats and added he like to believe that they are going through a transitional period.
‘’They are bringing lots of focus into 50-over and Test cricket also. But it’s a new team, lots of young people, they are learning the brand of international cricket and hopefully sooner or later they can deliver the skill for their nation,’’ said Mushtaq.
