The Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan said that though they have agreed to travel to Pakistan to take part in the ACC Emerging Cup they don’t have any intention to play international matches in Pakistan at this moment.

BCB had announced a 16-member squad for the eight-nation Emerging Asia Cup tournament on November 29 and the BCB and newly elected ACC president admitted that there were security issues.

"It's true that there are security related issues. I myself visited Pakistan and took part in meetings to discuss the matter of security. I don't think any problem will arise and we will be taking measures of our own and send our own security experts there," BCB president told reporters ahead of the Emerging Cup

“For now the decision is that we will play Pakistan in neutral venues. When our women's team was there, they were provided good security. Before that Sri Lanka went there and we are also looking at what ICC are thinking,’’ he said.

“If we don't see any security threats and ICC gives positive signal then we will think about it. The decision for now is that we don't want to play international fixtures in Pakistan right at this moment," he added.

Meanwhile Emerging team manager Khaled Mahmud echoed the same sentiment that was transpired by the BCB president.

“As far as I know, a good and high level security will be provided for the teams in Pakistan. I hope there will be no such occurrence there. Players are also being informed in such way. Before leaving BCB, we all sit in a meeting, where the management will brief us what we could do there and what we could not do,’’ said Mashud.
