Krunal Pandya has been included in India’s 12-man team for the first T20I against West Indies and could be handed his international debut when both teams face each other on Sunday (November 4).
The all-rounder had replaced Axar Patel in India’s T20I squad for a three-match series against England in July but failed to make it to the playing eleven.
However, Hardik Pandya’s injury prolongs the wait for him and Krunal to become the third brother duo to represent India in international cricket after Mohinder Amarnath and Surinder Amarnath and Pathan brothers – Irfan and Yusuf.

Khaleel Ahmed is also expected to make his T20I debut as he has found a place in the 12-member team led by Rohit Sharma.
Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Nadeem, and Umesh Yadav are the three members from the 15-man squad for the series to have missed out on the final squad for the first T20I.
The other two T20Is of the series will be held on 6 and 11 November.
