It seems as though the clashes between Bangladesh and West Indies are only producing bowlers with charges and subsequent demerit points as Ashley Nurse joins the list of bowlers who have been fined for using expletives on the pitch.
The incident took place in the second over of the match when he was hit for a boundary off the last ball of his over. The stump mic then caught him using a word that doesn’t bode well with the gentleman nature of the game.
According to a statement on ICC’s website, Nurse was found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct.

“He was found to have breached Article 2.1.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to ‘using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during an International Match’,” the statement read.
The spinner admitted to his wrongdoing and accepted the sanction placed on him by ICC match referee Chris Broad, who belongs to the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.
Since he has accepted the charges, there won’t be a need for a formal hearing.
On-field umpires Gregory Brathwaite and Nigel Duguid, coupled with third umpire Joel Wilson and fourth umpire Leslie Reifer, levelled the charges against the player, who now has two demerit points to his name.
The other demerit point was earned when he showed dissent in the first ODI against Afghanistan in St Lucia in June last year. With this, Nurse becomes the second bowler to earn a demerit point in this T20I series as Abu Hider Rony of Bangladesh also faced a similar repercussion for using expletives in the second T20I.
