Kings XI Punjab set to announce new addition

Kings XI Punjab were relentless in their approach during the
IP auction in February this year. Owner Preity Zinta tried to sign almost every
world class player whose name came up and in the end, ended up with a great
team with Chris Gayle as the icing on the cake.
They are, however, not done yet. After naming Ravichandran
Ashwin as the captain, they are set to announce former Indian pacer Venkatesh
Prasad as the new bowling head coach of the team, according to Sportstar.
This news comes after Prasad decided to step down as the selector of the All
India Junior Selection Committee.

Having Prasad as the bowling coach will not only help the
bowlers craft their skills, but also infuse them with a strong mentality. One
can never really forget the former pace’s battle with Aamir Sohail as it
depicted the kind of brawns that he had back in the day.
This is the type of aggression that Prasad can instill in
the pacers—which really helps a fast bowler in more than one way. The former
right-handed pacer took 196 wickets from 161 games during his playing career
and, along with Javagal Srinath, was one of India’s finest pacers at the time.
