'Bangladesh players are more responsible now'

Ever since the departure of Chandika Hathurusingha, the
coach situation of Bangladesh has remained unresolved even now. Richard Halsall
might be the stand-in coach of the nation, but it is only a matter of time
someone else takes up his place.
The Zimbabwe-born coach was appointed as the fielding and
assistant coach of the team in 2014 and is now acting as interim coach of the
team after Hathurusingha decided to leave his post. According to Halsall, the
Sri Lankan’s departure has led to the players become more “responsible.”
"I think Chandika's principal reason for leaving was
that he thought that he cannot add any more to the players at the moment,"
Halsall said.

"So I think that's a really good place for the players
to be at, because Chandika not being here will give them more space to think
and more responsibility.
He then went on to praise the current batch of players in
the team, stating that the Tigers are “lucky” to have such talents at their disposal and that things get “exciting” when players become more responsible.
"But Bangladesh is very lucky as they have got some excellent senior players like Shakib, Mashrafe, the two captains, and Mushfiqur, Mahmudullah and Tamim. These players now can be more involved. I think when you get older you become more responsible. That's exciting. I think it is another exciting step for that group of players."
Indeed, Bangladesh will have to count on these players to do the talking with the bat and the ball when they take on Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in the tri-nation series that begins from the 15th of January.
After that, there will be a Test and T20I series against the Lankans, which the Tigers would like to capitalise.
