The 11 ICC Under-19 World Cup winners got different backgrounds before uniting as a cricketer. Cricfrenzy tries to bring it to their valuable readers in this edition. down the memory lane.
Akbar Ali- (captain &wicket-keeper batsman)
Akbar is a more matured batsman than his age and he proved that in the final of the just-concluded ICC Under-19 World Cup. Akbar was born in Rangpur district in 8th October 2001. He is the youngest brother is his family. In 2012 Akbar was admitted in Dinazpur BKSP while in 2015 he came to the BKSP headquarter in Savar.
Parvez Hossain Emon (opening batsman)
This left-handed opening batsman was born in Chattogram on 6th December 2002. He has started his cricketing journey in his home town. When he was in class three he created a sensation in tape tennis ball cricket. In 2013 Emon was admitted in BKSP Dinajpur campus by his elder brother and from there he came to the main BKSP in 2016.
Tanzid Hasan Tamim (left-handed opener)
Tanzid Hasan Tamim is more aggressive batsman than national team opener Tamim Iqbal. He was born in Bogra on 1st December 2001. Tamim was so engaged with the cricket that he used to forget about his study. When he was in class six his father had thrown him out of his home for a cricketing reason. Tamim played for Bogra district in 2015 and was admitted in Bangla Track Academy in 2017 and from that academy he started playing first division cricket.
Mahmudul Hasan Joy (right-hand opening batsman)
Mahmudul Hasan story has lot of similarities with Tanzid Hasan as he used skip study and play cricket. Mahmudul was born in Chandpur District on November 13, 2000. After seeing love for the game of cricket and insistence from his father Abdul Barek admitted him to Clemon Cricket Academy and after passing two years he was admitted in Savar BKSP in 2014.

Touhid Ridoy (batsman)
This young Under-19 World Cup story is a bit different. Touhid was born in Bogra on 4th December in the year 2000. He wanted to play cricket so much but unfortunately, fraud got hold of him in a local club in Rampura Banashree and he lost lot of money thinking that the guy would help him play cricket in a local club.
He started playing local cricket for Shinepukur and played his first youth World Cup in 2018. This is his second youth World Cup for Bangladesh.
Shahadat Hossain (middle-order batsman )
This middle-order batsman story has lot of pains. He lost his father in cancer disease in the year 2010 in Chattogram. His mother passed a lot of dark time with his two children. His brother Abul used to drive cars in Chattogram. Shahadat was born in 4th February in the year 2002. Shahadat was not selected in BKSP trial and then he got admitted in Isphani Cricket Academy and start playing second division for them from 2013.
Shamim Hasan (middle-order batsman)
Shamim, who was born in Chandpur on 2nd September on 2002, started liking cricket by seeing his cousin. Shamim’s uncle had most influence in turning him into a cricketer. Shamim first got admitted in Clemon cricket academy and then got admitted in Savar BKSP.
Avishek das (all-rounder)
Avishek wanted to be a badminton player in his childhood. Avishek was born in Narail on 5th September and he was the district badminton champion for three times. Than his father's friend has suggested him to play cricket.
Rakibul Hasan(left-arm spinner)
Rakibul, who was born in Mymensingh, wanted to be a fast bowler but his height did not allow him that, Rakibul was never interested studies and always want to play cricket
Tanzim Hasan Shakib( pace bowler)
Shakib was born in Sylhet on 20 October on 2002. Shakib was inspired to cricket by local wicket-keeper batsman Jakir Hossain Shakib was also not selected in the first BKSP trial.
Shoriful Islam( leyft-arm pace bowler)
After getting disqualified in JSC examination he got interested in cricket. Shoriful uncle admitted him in a local academy in Dinajpur and after doing well there Shoriful was than admitted in Clemon Cricket Academy in Rajshahi. Shoriful was born in Panchagar District.
