Bangladesh to bid for ICC Events

Bangladesh is going to bid to host some global tournament as the ICC events, starting from 2024 to 2031, will happen through the bidding process.
ICC CEO Manu Sawhney and Commercial General Manager Campbell Jemison, who is in Bangladesh has already had a meeting with the BCB officials.
The BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury has confirmed about the outcome of the meeting.

“They are visiting those countries that hosted ICC events at various times. They are telling us the benefit of hosting those events. These events will happen through bidding process. We will look at the profit and scrutinized ins and outs before taking part in the bidding process,” Chowdhury said.
The ICC events that was held between 2016 and 2023 was mostly shared by the big three countries India, Australia and England. The likes of Bangladesh, west Indies, South Africa, New Zealand and Sri Lanka did not get any big events for them during this tenure.
The BCB CEO is hopeful that Bangladesh can host some ICC events, as they will have a lot of grounds available to host the event.

We will have a meeting with the government officials to tell them about the bidding process (home minister and sports minister ).In bidding we need documents and they will tell us the benefit of hosting the events. Bangladesh have started hosting ICC event from the 1998 Mini World Cup, which later was renamed as ICC Champions Trophy.
