Challengers receive Mahmudullah blow

Chattogram Challengers received a huge blow ahead of their crucial phases in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League as their skipper Mahmudullah suffered yet another hamstring injury while batting during their last match against Dhaka Platoon.
Mahmudullah missed the first two matches of for Chattogram due to injury and though he failed to make any noteworthy impact in the opening two games making 15 and 2 but he managed to showcase his potential in the last game by producing a match-winning knock of 59 runs from 28 balls.
However, the celebration in the Challengers camp due to skippers return to form was short-lived as he suffered a hamstring injury during his stay at the wicket.

Mahmudullah batted even with the injury but later he did not come to field for the Challengers.
Challengers manager Fahim Muntasir updated media regarding the injury status of Mahmudullah that suggests he is definitely missing a couple of matches for the Challengers in the coming days.
‘’Mahmudullah is under observations for 72 hours,’’ said Fahim.
‘’Than team physio will decide about his MRI scan later but at the moment he is not feeling any pain though it’s too early to say anything specific about the severity of his injury ’’he said.
Earlier, Mahmudullah admitted that he was feeling pain while batting by stating that he felt some pain and it’s the same hamstring injury that he suffered earlier.
Mahmudullah had picked the hamstring injury during Bangladesh’s day-night Test against hosts India last month at Eden Garden.
