Bangla Tigers head coach Aftab Ahmed is worried about the future of their team as Bangladesh Cricket Board is unlikely to give NO-objection to their players to take part in the franchise-based 10-over tournament announced scheduled to start from November 24.

Bangla Tigers as the newest team to join the third edition while the players draft happened a couple of days back where they picked as many as seven cricketers to play for them.

However, the head coach of BT looked to be concerned regarding the availability of the Bangladeshi players as BCB officials recently stated that they are unwilling to give NOC to the players as they are focusing more local players participation in the ongoing National Cricket League rather than playing T-10 competition.

Bangla Tigers head coach Aftab Ahmed is well aware of BCB decision of not giving NOC to the seven players.

We have heard they [BCB] will not give NOC but I do not know what team management will do regarding this,’’ Aftab told reporters on Friday.

‘’We have not discussed anything about it yet but we will be sitting tomorrow and decide,’’ he said.

According to Bangla Tigers officials they will try to convince BCB for getting NOC of the players for the sake of the country otherwise and is ready to replace those with alternative local players otherwise they will try to form their squad with foreign players.

At present it seemed BCB is also keeping an open mind regarding the participation of the cricketers.

‘’It will depend on the situation and players. We have some planning and we will consider giving NOC if they do not clash with our principal,’’ said a BCB official.

Aftab said that he feel there won’t be any problem with his availability despite the fact he is the head coach of Chattogram Division in the ongoing NCL as he does not have any agreement with BCB.

Aftab is expected to join BT finishing the last round of NCL
