Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hossain Papon has hinted that every team in the upcoming BPL season will have to play leg spinner in their playing XI as the country’s long search for a wicket-taking leg spinner continues.
Leg spinners are known to be a wicket-taking option in cricket. Quality leg spinner is an invaluable asset to any team but Bangladesh lacks leg spinner for a long time and always seems to produce left-arm spinner.

‘’We are planning to make one leg spinner mandatory for each BPL team, ‘’said Papon.
This decision has gone well with the current crop of leg spinner that is playing in Bangladesh. Aminul Islam who was impressive the only twenty-20 match he played before he got badly injured is the latest leg spinner to come in the limelight. But he is more capable batsman than a wicket-taking leg spinner in the domestic circuit.
Jubair Hossain was very highly rated by the coaching staff at his time but he also failed to impress after his good showing in the initial stage.
Jubair Hossain told Cricfrenzy, ‘’It will be great for our local spinner if they can play.it will be helpful for our batsman too because our batsman do not get the opportunity to play leg spinner in the matches. Our batsman get out to other country leg spinner cheaply. It will be good for us. We can show our performance.”
